Applications for the 2024 cycle are now CLOSED.

The Empowerment Grant Program from the City of Corvallis provides small cash grants to fund projects and initiatives that improve neighborhoods and forge partnerships to address community issues. The grant program has two tracks:

  • Neighborhood Empowerment Grants are focused on improving geographic areas in Corvallis. Past projects have included landscape improvements, neighborhood social events, public art installations, education programs, and training services.

  • Community Empowerment Grants are focused on assisting individuals and organizations doing enriching work throughout Corvallis. Example grants include cultural events, guest lectures, or outreach campaigns. Often this work cuts across different geographic areas and may serve diverse community groups.

Typical grant amounts range from $200 to $600. This is a competitive grant program; applications are reviewed by staff with input from the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Advisory Board, and selected grants are awarded by the City Council for funding, usually in June of each year.
